There are many types of bullet teeth, and the general structure is to inlay a carbide tip in a low-alloy structural steel body that has been quenched and tempered. The bullet teeth are subjected to high periodic compressive stress, shear stress, and impact load during work. The main forms of failure are the tool tip falling off, chipping and tool tip and tool body wear. Under certain working conditions, the cutter body is often broken and the teeth fails. Since the mechanical properties of the teeth body directly affect the service life of the teeth, the material of the teeth body and the effective heat treatment method are selected reasonably.
